The MAGIC-GLASS prototype is currently being tested in a clinical trial in Italy and Northern Ireland (United Kingdom). The objective is to test MAGIC-GLASS with 300stroke patients (150 in Italy and 150 in Northern Ireland) in the period from November 2018 to February 2020 in order to assess the feasibility, usability and effectiveness of the solution.
The project is funded by the MAGIC Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) initiative (http://magic-pcp.eu) with funds made available by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
The clinical study has received approval from the ethics committees in Ancona (Marche Region Ethics Committee, 18 October 2018, No. 2018 262) and Belfast (Northern Ireland Office for Research Ethics, 21 June 2018, No. 18-NI- 0080). All the involved partners and staff are working in compliance with the national and international regulations and standards related to the conduct of clinical studies, and to the protection and treatment of personal data.
